This year, Ladies’ Night at Buchheit looks a little different due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But don’t worry – we’re still ready to host you with a Ladies’ Night In! As with every Ladies’ Night event, we’ve prepared a special project for YOU. So grab your girls, put on your comfy pants and grab the wine.

Check out our video on how to make a scarf/necklace holder or follow along in the directions below!

Instructions

  1. Staining the Board
The first thing you’ll want to do is dip your rag into your stain and stain your board. Ensure all sides are stained evenly and are the color you want them to be, and then let the board dry. This is the perfect time to pour a glass (or two) of wine!
  1. Setting Up the Dremel
While you’re waiting for your board to dry, you’ll want to start setting up your Dremel. Use the Dremel’s tiny wrench to loosen the bit and remove it. Choose a fine-tipped bit for the drilling of the words on your board.
  1. Write Your Phrase on the Board
Grab a marker and write out the words or phrase you want on the board.
  1. Grab the Dremel
Pick up the Dremel again and trace over your lettering. You’ll want to make sure that you hold the board tight as you Dremel, and use slow, smooth strokes.
  1. Attaching Your Handles
Measure out where you want your handles and mark them if necessary. Stand above the board, and make sure that your drill is on the handle completely and evenly. Put your hand on the drill for extra support. Slowly drill the handle in place until it’s secure.

That’s It! In just five easy steps you’ve got your necklace or scarf holder. You can also add brackets to the back of your board for easy mounting. We’re sorry we couldn’t see you in person this year, but we’re glad you’ve joined us for Ladies’ Night In! We hope you had as much fun as we did! Click here for exclusive Ladies’ Night deals.

Send us your crafty photos of YOUR project and we might feature them on our social media pages!
