  1. Stack 2 paint sticks together. Rubber band only one end.
  1. Separate the 2 paint sticks and place the stack of 8 paint sticks between the middle.
  1. Wrap 2 rubber bands around all of the paint sticks to hold the catapult together. One from each direction, making an X in the center.
  1. Grab your Velcro and cut a small square to fit on the cap and on the edge of the stick. We cut a square about 1” x 1”.
  1. Stick one side of the square on the square on the bottom of the PVC cap.
  1. Stick the other side of the Velcro square on the edge of the paint stick (the edge with the gap, NOT the edge that’s rubber banded together.
  1. Attach the PVC cap to the end of the catapult using the Velcro square. This will be your launching platform.
  1. Grab a small item that will fit in the cap and place it inside.
  2. Hold the rubber banded end together with one finger and press down on the paint stick with the cap with your other finger. And launch!
